The trimming conveyor is used in liver processing plants to trim the liver.

Typically, there are two trimming conveyors in each plant. One is positioned before the hot water/enzyme tub, where visible defects are removed, and another is placed after the washing drum to clean off any remaining membrane that was not removed in the hot water/enzyme tub.
