The tubs are filled on the processing deck, where full tubs are sent down to the hold and collected in stacks within an automated magazine.
From the magazine, stacks are automatically transported via rails, and a transfer carriage delivers the full stack to a designated location in the hold. The system also automatically sends empty tubs back up to the processing deck from the empty tub magazine.
The automated hold system handles all tub movements in the hold while the ship is fishing, allowing crew members to focus on arranging fish into tubs on the processing deck under optimal conditions.
When the ship returns to port, all tub movements in the hold during unloading and loading are automated. This ensures that the hold remains unmanned during unloading operations. Only a crane operator is required to manage lifting, and a forklift operator receives the tubs on the dock.
The size and scope of the hold systems can be tailored to meet the specific needs of any vessel.
