The fish elevator transports fish between decks with minimal drop height. It is an excellent solution for transferring fish from the processing deck to the hold. Fish are moved in a closed, compartmentalized, soft-push conveyor belt down a stainless-steel chute at low speed. Instead of falling freely, the fish are transported under controlled conditions, with only about 40 cm remaining when released onto the cargo hold conveyor.

Slippurinn DNG has developed fish elevators capable of minimizing vertical drop from 1.5 to 4 meters between decks.

When the elevator is integrated into a hatch coaming, the coaming is finished to match other hatch coamings and meets all classification society requirements regarding height, watertightness, and more. The elevator can be easily lifted from the coaming for cleaning and maintenance.

The size of the elevator is tailored to the customer’s needs, accommodating both large and small fish.
